As of today (5th March 2019) BetBright have closed down, with an announcement on their website.
Customers have 30 days to log in and withdraw any funds. After this point access to the account will be closed and BetBright will attempt to return any remaining balance to whatever payment method is on file.
What Happened?
According to news reports, BetBright have been bought by 888 – although it appears to be purely for parts as they’re only acquiring the technological assets developed by BetBright and will not be operating the BetBright brand or, as far as we’re aware, absorbing the account base.
What About Bets and Bonuses?
Bets that were due to settle after the 5th March 2019 will be made void with the stake returned to your account. For accumulators, any leg that settles after today will be made void with the remainder of the acca paid out as normal.
As a bit of positive news, according to their website any active bonuses in your account will be converted into cash and can be withdrawn.
Update 7/3/19: Cheltenham Ante Post Bets Will Now Stand
The timing for the closure of the brand and voiding of bets is obviously not ideal considering the Cheltenham Festival is literally around the corner.
After some grumbling from punters, 888 have agreed to pay out on winning ante post bets placed at Betbright, but only on races at the festival (no other bets).
All Cheltenham ante-post bets placed by former Dedsert (BetBright) customers will be kept alive by 888sport. Punters are invited to contact us with any winning bets, and we will honour them on original terms.
